Torre des Savinar<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Nicknamed the Torre del Pirata (Pirate’s Tower) in reference to a short story by Vicente Blasco Ib\u00e1\u00f1ez entitled \u00ab\u00a0The Dead Command<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb (1909), this impressive tower stands on a cliff, offering absolutely spectacular panoramic views of the islets of Es Vedr\u00e0<\/a> and Es Vedranell. It was built in 1763 to protect the coast from attacks from Algeria. To reach this historic wonder, park your car on the Cala d’Hort road and take a dirt track up to the cliffs. The walk will take around 30 minutes, but it will be well worth it to enjoy this unique panorama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The walled old town of Dalt Vila<\/a> is the ideal starting point for our adventure into the history of Ibiza. A UNESCO<\/a> World Heritage Site, this hilltop citadel offers breathtaking views of the sea and the modern town below. Stroll along its cobbled streets, pass through its imposing gates and explore its well-preserved bastions, which tell the stories of the Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Romans and Arabs who have dominated the island over the centuries. Surely one of the most famous historical treasures of Ibiza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Perched proudly on the south-east coast of Ibiza near Playa d’en Bossa and along the cliffs of Ses Salines, the Torre des Carregador de sa Sal, or Tower of Sa Sal, is an imposing vestige of a glorious defensive past. Built in the 16th century to protect the island from pirate attacks, this stone watchtower offers uninterrupted views of the sparkling Mediterranean Sea. In days gone by, guards would scan the horizon from the top of the tower, ready to alert the population to any imminent danger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Explore the remains of houses, cobbled streets and warehouses of this thousand-year-old city, and let yourself be transported back to a time when the Phoenicians sailed the seas in search of new lands and trade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Can Mar\u00e7a Caves<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
