Yet another international accolade for Ibiza. The traveller’s bible, Cond\u00e9 Nast Traveller, has ranked Ibiza as one of the hottest gastronomic destinations in Europe. Alongside Paris, Lisbon, Seville, Sardinia and Lyon.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Ibiza may be the temple of partying and dream beaches<\/a>, but the island also has something to say about gastronomy. And when one of the world’s most respected tourism magazines says so, we’re bound to jump for joy. The ever-popular Cond\u00e9 Nast Traveller has named Ibiza as one of the hottest gastronomic destinations in Europe<\/a>. According to the publication, the Balearic island is the best place for farm-to-fork eating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There\u2019s always been a rural edge to Ibiza<\/p>\nCond\u00e9 Nast Traveller<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab\u00a0Ibiza is not the most famous city for its gastronomy. But the white island’s ravers have matured along with it, mellowing out and moving to the quieter towns to the north, away from the mega-clubs and big hotels of the south. Ibiza has always had a rural side<\/em>. Farmers here were harvesting almonds and olive trees long before the organic revolution spread to eco-warriors and zero waste pioneers in London, Brighton, Bristol and elsewhere. The island’s flavours can be found in its classic restaurants – we love Es Ventall and Aubergine – where colourful salads, fresh pasta topped with locally made buffalo ricotta and vegan puddings are served on rustic, shady terraces. Or head to farms like La Granja, a 300-year-old cottage set in a 24-acre plantation owned by former Design Hotels CEO Claus Sendlinger, where homemade kombucha is served overlooking scrubby farmland and dinners are shared in the relaxed gardens.<\/em>\u00ab\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
