That&rsquo;s the fine non-European tourists will have to pay if they visit Ibiza without having booked accommodation in advance. This measure is designed to combat anti-social behaviour on the island.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The joke is over ! To deal with the abuse that occurs on the island of Ibiza during the summer season, the Spanish authorities have decided to tighten the rules for non-European tourists. From now on, Ibiza tourists holding a non-European passport without <a href=\"https:\/\/sweetcream.eu\/ibiza\/ibiza-most-expensive-spain\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">accommodation<\/a> will be fined up to \u20ac10,000. They will have to prove it when they arrive on the island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new rule, introduced by the Spanish authorities, stipulates that tourists arriving on Ibiza must present confirmation of their accommodation booking or a &lsquo;carta de invitaci\u00f3n&rsquo; from their host, the latter having to be authorised by the local police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The party&rsquo;s over !<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But that&rsquo;s not all : the British government is also advising visitors to bring a valid return or onward ticket and to check that their passport is up to date. The new measures come against a backdrop of tougher rules on the Balearic Islands, where restrictions aimed at tackling anti-social behaviour have been in place since 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last year, Ibiza councillors even considered banning new holiday lets in response to <a href=\"https:\/\/sweetcream.eu\/ibiza\/ibiza-most-expensive-spain\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">soaring rents<\/a>.
