Mercado de Sant Jordi is an alternative market located in the south of Ibiza, close to the airport. You’ll find natural products, organic cotton clothing and handmade jewelry. The atmosphere is relaxed, typical and very friendly (as everywhere else on the island, right), with stands run by people from all over the world and attractive prices. The market takes place every Saturday throughout the year, but in summer, there are also special evening events to enjoy. Punta Arabi Hippy Market is one of the most popular hippie markets in Ibiza. Located in Es Canar, it was established in 1973 and is considered the largest hippie market in Europe. You will find clothing, jewelry, bags, accessories and food and drinks in a very nice place under palmtrees. The market is open every Wednesday and also Friday (for the first year in 2023) from April to October, and there are often live music and dance performances. Let’s go to the wonderful neighbour of Formentera to discover Mercado de la Mola. This hippie place raises in the east of Formentera just after an amazing road through nature with crazy sea view. Every Wednesday from May to October, it offers many artisanal products, from clothing to jewelry and home decor. The market is located in a small village with panoramic views of the sea across the road. Note that during high season, the market is obviously full but you will always find a place to enjoy it.

Mercadillo de Sant Joan is a very traditional hippie market in the beautiful village of Sant Joan de Labritja. The atmosphere is very authentic and peaceful with a lot of locals who come for a walk but also to spend time on one of the beautiful terraces with music and sun. The Cala Llenya market takes place every Sunday on the eponymous beach in Santa Eularia. Open from 10 am to 5 pm, this market is a success, thanks to the diversity of products, from vintage to second-hand. The market also attracts visitors thanks to the great atmosphere created by the many musical sessions, but above all for the gourmet breaks, with paella, sausages and mulled wine on the menu in winter.
